I found a paper in my living room with these words on it. I tend to have these random thoughts, and occasionaly write them down only to find them later when I am cleaning. Sometimes they make no sense, and I don't remember writing them. Sometimes they click right away. This one fell somewhere in between. I remember writing it, however I don't remember what trigered the thought. So, I have let it sit for a few days before it began to really speak to me. Now I remember some things.

If I apply this general philosophy to my daily exsistance, I am suddenly hurled into a reality where I MUST accept responsability for my situation in life. I must look inward to decide how I contributed to any given moment.

I then find that I am the source of good and bad within my life. Even when it seems that it is an outside force that muscels its way into my world, it is my choice that dictates how I respond. MY CHOICE!

Suddenly, this slightly intimidating concept is filled with empowerment. I do have some control over the world I live in. I have the right to my own world. I am the adult who is in charge NOW!

The responsability that comes with this right to my own world create ethics and life philosophies. I have to run it the way I see fit, creating my guidelines and standards of acceptable behavior. I have to run my life the way that is beneficial to me. AND since everyone is interconnected, I must take into account what is good for those around me. It is my inner compassion and desire to see others succeed that keeps me in line. This is how my Ethics evolve. That is what dictates my ability to use myself as source.
